Back in 1992, MPNA sponsored the Mount Pleasant neighborhood police
facility office. Raised $7,000 and purchased supplies and equipment
for the facility, including a computer which connects via modem
directly back to the 4th District Police District Station, a fax
machine, copier and cellular phone, and conducted computer training
for police personnel.

and active participation in 3rd Police District Citizens' Advisory

·
Obtained the only single sales ban on containers of alcohol in the
District. Our successful neighborhood effort spurred other
neighborhoods’ interest in adopting such a ban and Council member
Adrian Fenty to propose legislation to impose the ban on single
sales citywide. Our voluntary agreements are
here.
