Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market is Open
Location: Lamont Park
Dates: May 1, 2010 - November 20, 2010
Saturdays, 9am-1pm.
Farmers and bakers sell fresh local fruit and vegetables, flowers, herbs, eggs, meat, dairy products, fresh bread, sweets, and other baked goods.
The Mount Pleasant Farmers' Market is producer-only. That means two things. First, everything you see was raised, grown, produced, made, or baked by the person selling it. Second, the food is local and regional. Our region includes the five states whose farmland and waterways serve the Washington, DC metro region. We opened in 2003. Click here for a Google Map showing where all the producers are in relation to you!
Held under the trees on a local park and bandstand, the Mount Pleasant Farmers' Market is a friendly and intimate neighborhood market serving the diverse Mount Pleasant community with fresh, local food, including beef, pork, poultry, eggs, Atwater breads, and lots of seasonal fruits and vegetables. See pictures! We gladly accept EBT, WIC and Farmers' Market coupons.
Volunteer at market! Sign up on our Volunteer Calendar to help vendors with set up and stocking, conduct surveys, meet and greet, do facepainting, provide personal shopping tours!
